The pear shape lamp back in the spotlight
After almost a hundred years this classic lamp in pear shape is starting to disappear and being replaced by a more ecological solution. The transparency of porcelain gave me the inspiration to put these lamps back in the spotlight, but with the use of LED lighting.
I presented this installation for the first time in Tracé at Ekeren. The B-Light became completely integrated into the room by fixing it to the wall. This creation was also exposed in C-mine at Genk themed “The Invasion conquers Belgium”, but presented in a different way. This time the light bulbs were mounted in advance on wall panels in five different colours and provided with an electrical circuit. These light bulbs of porcelain are unfortunately no longer for sale.
