An open and light work

The M!r-open porcelain sculptures draw inspiration from the previously designed tableware collection, M!ro. Here the unusual basic shape of this collection becomes a more abstract object, free from its original function.

The omission of the inner part of the dishes creates extreme lightness in the sculptures whilst maintaining a clear relationship with the original design.

Honest in all respects.

The material from which the sculptures are made – bone china – requires highly technical skills to fire each piece without losing its shape. After firing, the individual pieces are assembled. This way, endless new combinations are created which results in a unique sculpture every time.

While the sculptures are not meant to be functional, they could for example serve as an interesting centrepiece on a dinner table at a special occasion and even present some food to stimulate your guests’ senses!
